Laser Dentistry
A laser is a device that uses light energy to perform work. Lasers are unique because they can treat targeted tissue while leaving surrounding tissue unaffected. This allows us to perform very precise procedures resolving unsightly overgrown gum tissue, relieving painful cold sores and ulcers in the mouth. Lasers also act to seal off blood vessels and nerve endings, which results in virtually no bleeding or postoperative pain.

Cold Sore Treatment

Painful and sometimes unsightly cold sores can be treated simply and painlessly using laser dentistry in just a few minutes. No anesthetic required! The dental laser will stop the virus in its tracks and begin the healing process. 90 percent of cold sores treated when they first start tingling will not even occur.

Overgrown Gum Tissue

Overgrown gum tissue can create areas of the pocketing and food traps, which may lead to acute gum infections in your mouth. Removing this extra tissue with a laser is both easy and painless, and helps return your gums to health.

Cosmetic Gingival Recontouring

Unsightly gum overgrowth in the front of the mouth can give the appearance of “short teeth” and/or a “gummy smile.” With painless minor recontouring, these effects may be minimized or eliminated altogether!
